Policies, Terms and Conditions
Teretre has adopted the following policies, terms & conditions to assist us in providing you with our best service. We respectfully request that you adhere to these before, during & after your stay.
Arrival & Departure Check-in time is from 12pm Check-out time is prior to 10am. Early check-in or late check-out requests will be catered for depending on availability. A fee may apply for such requests. Please contact our reception staff for further information.

Children We welcome children of all ages. A baby cot is available upon request (subject to availability).
Additional Guests Unless otherwise specified most accommodation rates quoted are based on double occupancy. There is usually an additional fee for extra guests (if the room allows it). The accurate recording of guests per room is required for the purposes of our emergency evacuation procedures.
Accepted Methods of Payment We accept cash, & EFTPOS or online by PayPal.
Reservations Guarantee To guarantee your reservation you will be asked for your credit card details. Payment for all accommodation must be made in full upon arrival, unless a mutual agreement is made. Incidental charges are due prior to departure. Overdue and recovery charges may be made if your account is not paid at that time. Provision of credit card details is the authority to debit any payment owing.
Cancellations Should you need to cancel your reservation we ask that you advise us at least 24 hours prior to our check-in time of 12pm. Cancellations within this period will incur a fee equal to the first night's accommodation which will be charged to your credit card. At the time of booking you will be notified if a different cancellation period applies, eg group bookings.
Non-arrival Should you fail to arrive on the scheduled day of your reservation, your room will be held until the following day in case you have been unforeseeably delayed and are unable to contact us. A fee equal to one night's accommodation will be charged to your credit card. Should you not arrive the next day your reservation will be cancelled and an additional night's accommodation will be charged to your credit card (unless we can re-let that room for the night).
Shortened Stay After check-in, should you shorten your stay, you will be charged a minimum of one night's accommodation unless you are able to give us 24 hours notice as per our cancellation policy.
Group Bookings All group bookings require an email or fax in addition to a credit card to confirm the booking. The cancellation period will vary according to type of booking. Please ask our reception staff for further information.
Rates & Minimum Length of Stay Requirements Rates & Minimum Length of Stay Requirements Our rates vary by room type & the day of the week, weekends are always in high demand. During periods of high demand or major events we may apply a Surcharge or a requirement for a Minimum Length of Stay. You will be advised of this at the time of your reservation.
Smoking We do not permit smoking within our guest rooms & smoking within enclosed public areas is against the law in New South Wales. There are plenty of outdoor areas around the property where smoking is permitted, we just ask of you to dispose of your butts thoughtfully. A sanitisation fee of one additional night's accommodation will be charged where smoking occurs within a guest room.
Parking & Vehicles Onsite parking is available. Please discuss any special vehicle requirements you may have when making your booking ensure we can accommodate your vehicle.
Pet Friendly Cabins Accommodation
Teretre Nimbin Cabins is happy to have your favourite pet stay, which means that your beloved friend can come on holiday too, and there are lots of great tracks and dog friendly areas within a short walk or drive.
The cabins are suitable for most singles/couples and a quiet, well-behaved animal for multiple night stays as these cabins have a back verandah. Please bring all animal provisions i.e. bedding, food, etc. It is imperative that the guest(s) clean up after their animal and ensure that the animal only stays on the verandah and not inside the cabin itself.
Pet Accommodation Policy
Teretre Nimbin Cabins welcomes dogs (and their owners) and following a few simple guidelines will then make life easier for all:
- All dogs must be on a leash when walking in, and around, the car park and the grounds.
- Be mindful of other dogs who might be staying, small children and consider the noise factor if the dog is easily startled and/or barks a lot.
- It is the responsibility of the dog owner to ensure that dog poo is collected from areas where other guests may walk and disposed of appropriately. Please bring your collection bags with you.
- Dogs MUST be declared at time of booking to ensure a 'Pet Friendly' is available and to discuss room options. Dogs found to be in rooms without prior knowledge will be charged a Pet Fee ($20).
- Guests are responsible for all property damages and/or personal injuries resulting from their pet. Guests agree to indemnify and hold harmless the hotel, its owners and its operator from all liability and damage suffered as a result of the guest's pet. Teretre Nimbin Cabins reserves the right to charge guest's account commensurate to the cost of such damages.
Local Taxes All guest expenses are subject to Goods & Services Tax of 10% which is included in any room or ancillary prices quoted.
Gratuities & Services Charges Tips & gratuities to our team members are at our guests discretion but please note they will go to the Murals Maintenance Program for the upkeep of the street facade.
Special Assistance We aim to do our best to accommodate guests with a disability. We have limited wheelchair access to guest rooms. Most common areas of the property are accessible by wheelchair. Should you require special assistance of any kind, please let us know in advance so that we can properly assess whether we can accommodate you.
Environment Policy We are constantly looking to provide the right environment for our guests and team through the promotion of environmental awareness. We are slowly making many changes around the property to promote & implement new greener strategies.
Communication & Privacy Your personal information will be recorded, amended & used by only authorised persons who are required to keep your information confidential. We will never use retained information for any other purpose nor provide it to any other party without your prior permission, except where legally obliged to do so.
Disputes & Claims Any controversy, dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these accommodation policies shall come under the jurisdiction of the most competent courts in New South Wales.
Changes to Accommodation Policies These policies are subject to change without notice. (Latest update 15 February 2015)
